Job Description:
Drax Group plc, a leader in sustainable energy solutions in the
UK, is seeking a Lab/Quality Technician to support our commitment
to a zero carbon future. This role is central to our operations,
ensuring the quality and compliance of materials and processes used
in power generation. The successful candidate will work within our
dynamic Laboratory Services team, playing a critical role in
analyzing samples, maintaining lab equipment, and supporting
continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our energy production
efficiency and environmental compliance. Conduct routine and
non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, and
final products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Operate
and maintain lab equipment, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Record and analyze test data, preparing detailed reports that
inform production decisions. Collaborate with production teams to
implement quality control improvements and corrective actions.
Participate in internal audits and support compliance with
environmental and safety regulations. Proficiency in using
laboratory analytical instruments. Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret technical data and
provide insights. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Experience with quality control procedures and compliance
standards. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k ISO 9001 Quality
Management System certification preferred.
