Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description:Top Duties and
QualificationsAs a Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be
responsible for assisting with process employees' paychecks and
processing vendor payments. The duties include verifying accurate
information, entering employee and vendor information into the
system and timely processing of payments.Payroll Clerk duties and
responsibilitiesAlthough a Payroll Clerk has a variety of duties
and responsibilities, their principle role includes the
following:Maintaining payroll and accounting information by
collating, calculating and entering dataUpdating payroll and
accounts payable records by entering any changes to records in the
proper system.Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings
and payments.Resolving any discrepancies and answering questions as
they arise.Maintaining all payroll and accounts payable operations
according to company policies and proceduresProcessing and issuing
W-2 forms to employees and 1099 forms to vendors.Payroll/Accounts
Payable Clerk skills and qualificationsA proficient Payroll Clerk
should have these skills to do their job well:Strong computer
skills such as typing, system and software knowledgeKnowledge of
wage withholding ordersAccurate data entry skills with great
attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and
written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and
