Job Description:
Job Description Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is
seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to
join our dynamic and nationally recognized Division of Pediatric
Hospital Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to practice
alongside a team of 25 faculty members in a premier academic
children’s hospital environment that prioritizes excellence in
clinical care, teaching, and collaborative team-based practice. Key
Responsibilities: Provide inpatient care across general pediatric
hospital medicine services. Supervise and teach pediatric residents
and advanced practice providers. Perform scheduled weekday,
weekend, and evening (until midnight) admitting shifts. Participate
in home call during weeks assigned to resident/APP-covered teams.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment of physicians,
APPs, nurses, and ancillary teams. Participate in divisional
activities, including quality improvement, education, and committee
work (based on track and interest). Contribute to a culture of
safety, communication, and family-centered care. Qualifications: MD
or DO degree. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hospital
Medicine. Exceptions may apply for those in practice >8 years
prior to the establishment of PHM Fellowships. Eligible for
Tennessee medical licensure. Commitment to teamwork, communication,
and high-quality clinical care. Strong interest in individuals with
backgrounds or interests in: Quality, safety, and operations
(including formal QI training such as IHI or AIM). Clinical program
development (e.g., co-management models, patient-flow initiatives).
Informatics (fellowship training or practical informatics
