Job Description Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Division
of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is seeking a faculty
gastroenterologist with interest in nutrition support, celiac
disease, and capsule endoscopy at the main campus in Nashville,
Tennessee. Vanderbilt’s Gastroenterology Division is comprised of
nearly 80 clinicians, clinician educators, physician-scientists,
APPs, and investigators. This Clinician Educator track position
offers a variety of clinical care activities that include general
gastroenterology, nutrition support, celiac disease, and capsule
endoscopy. Clinical time is divided evenly between clinic,
procedures, and TPN rounds. Opportunity to learn and lead the
division in small bowel deep enteroscopy. Great work/life balance –
general GI night call only one week per year, and TPN call from
home only 4 weekends per year. The Center for Human Nutrition is
the only intestinal failure program in the region and offers the
only dedicated Celiac Disease Center in the Southeast. Our
multidisciplinary in-house team includes pharmacists, dieticians,
case managers, and highly trained nursing staff. Teach fellows,
residents, and other learners with a faculty appointment to VUMC.
