START MONTH FOR PROVIDER(S) July 2025 EST LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT 1 year PROVIDERS NEEDED (FT or PT - of shifts to cover) Need of 8 full time docs across the Good Shepherd system MINIMUM of SHIFTS ACCEPTABLE 5 CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - Will accept ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM, ABPS or other BCs? FNP - ANCC, AANP or other BCs? Marshall requires ABEM docs only. The Good Shepherd system is a total of 5 facilities: Longview, NorthPark, Kilgore, Marshall, and Henderson (new build) will soon open in Aug 2025. The hospital will allow locums to work at Kilgore and Marshall ONLY at this time. Will the facility accept alternative boards? ABPS? No RESIDENCY TRAINED REQUIREMENTS Marshall will accept EM residency trained docs only. ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BALS Required? Not required for ABEM STAFFING MODEL MDDO Marshall has an average of 25.86 MD hrs/day STAFFING MODEL NPPA Average of 11.29 NPPA hrs daily PHYSICIAN SHIFT TIMES Monday: 7a-4p, 1p-9p, & 9p-7a. Sunday & Tues-Thursday: 7a-3p, 2p-10p, & 9p-7a. Friday - Sunday : 7a-7p & 7p-7a NPPA SHIFT TIMES Mon-Tues: 10a-10p. Wed-Sun: 10a-9p CALL REQUIREMENT n/a ANNUAL VOLUME About 24,000 patients PATIENTS PER DAY About 65/day % EMS About 18.3% % ADMITTED PATIENTS About 10% TRAUMA LEVEL DESIGNATION n/a SCRIBE COVERAGE None ED BEDS & FAST TRACK BEDS 15 beds 2 fast track ICU BEDS BACKUP SPECIALTIES Ortho, GI, Telenephrology, Teleneuro, & Telepsych EMR SYSTEM EPIC ACTIVE STATE LICENSE REQUIRED TO PROCEED? Yes FLU OR OTHER IMMUNIZATIONS REQUIRED? WAIVER CONSIDERED? Flu required but waiver is allowed HOURLY RATE RANGE $350/hr - $400/hr (will consider up to $420/hr max) PAID TRAVEL AND LODGING OR ALL IN RATE? Paid travel PRIVILEGING TIMEFRAME 90 days EXPEDITED LOCUM PRIVILEGES? Temps are possible but even with temps, it's still about a 60 day credentialing timeframe ONBOARDING REQUIREMENTS (Orientation/EMR training) Orientation is typically for 3-4 hours in the morning and then the provider will shadow in the ED directly after that for a total of 12 hours. EPIC training is usually done prior to orientation.
