Ob/Gyn and Maternal Fetal Medicine experience required. /t - At
least 2 years of ObGyn at minimum. Education- /t - Required -
Completion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in
diagnostic medical sonography. /t - Work Experience /t - Required -
2 years of sonographer experience. /t - Required - Maternal Fetal
Medicine experience /t - Certifications /t - Required - Registered
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) /t - Advanced certification
in area(s) of specialty according to facility need. /t - Basic Life
Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. /t - Preferred -
MFM /t - Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) /t - Proficiency in
using computers, software, and web-based applications. /t -
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to
present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of
individuals throughout the patient care process /t - Knowledge of
the anatomy of the liver, gallbladder, aorta, spleen, kidneys, bile
ducts, and pancreas and ability to perform abdominal ultrasound and
the pathology of these organs to provide radiologists with a
preliminary diagnosis. /t - Ability to work a flexible schedule
(e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability). Job Duties /t
- Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy. /t -
Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care. /t -
Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding. /t -
Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure
according to protocol (including assisting radiologists in guided
procedures in a variety of settings). /t - Reviews patient images
prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality
standards. /t - Completes timely quality control procedures in
accordance with regulatory standards and performing
notification/remediation as warranted. /t - Assists in the
facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff
schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.). /t - Adapts behavior to
the specific patient population, including but not limited to
respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient,
adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed,
requesting permissions and communication style. /t - Performs other

Required - /t - Certification by The American Registry of
Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in the areas of Abdominal and
OB-Gyn ultrasound or Cardiac Sonography /t - Basic Life Support
