Job Description:

Relocation assistance available. LifeShare Blood Center is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our immunohematology reference laboratory (IRL) team. The Med Tech will be responsible for specimen processing, testing, and reporting in accordance with our quality control policies and CLIA regulations. Under moderate supervision, the Med Tech will: perform routine serological testing (blood typing, antibody screening, antibody identification, antigen typing, and compatibility testing), evaluate and interpret results, complete documentation, coordinate as needed with LifeShare's other laboratories, communicate with requesting facility to assist with appropriate transfusion therapy, participate in Quality Assurance activities (quality control testing, recognize and report deviations from SOPs), maintain equipment, troubleshoot unexpected testing problems or equipment malfunctions, and perform proficiency testing.
