Job Description Job Description Estimator Estimator - Commercial Construction Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Estimator for our Commercial Construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with a focus on ground-up and design-build projects, particularly in the healthcare sector. This role requires a keen understanding of various construction methodologies and the ability to collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects including labor, materials, and equipment. Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather information for cost estimation. Review and interpret contracts and specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy in estimates. Provide recommendations for value engineering and cost-saving measures during the design process. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations to clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects. Proven experience with ground-up and design-build projects, particularly in healthcare. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate estimates. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.
